Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Our 2018 vintage was a spectacular introduction to the newest member of our team of single vineyard Pinot Noirs—Hallberg Vineyard. The storied vineyard produced a wine of immense depth and endless complexity.
The bouquet radiates from the glass with hints of Santa Rosa plum, cinnamon, almond, toasted cardamom, and Maitake mushroom. Upon first sip—ripe cherry, strawberry, and raspberry shine, but upon further inspection sandalwood, tarragon, and dry pine straw balance the palate.
Vineyard Notes
The Hallberg Vineyard's uniqueness lies in the fact that it is completely farmed with no irrigation. With dry-farming viticultural practice, the grapes fully ripened at lower sugar levels leading to more complexity and heightened balance enabling the true essence of the terrior to show through the wine.
Food Pairing Notes
Butternut squash soup, roasted sweet potatoes, herb roasted salmon
